meatfart said: Are there Yearly Index or Index-like pages available for download on the website via that Extras kinda section?

There aren’t any downloadable duplicates of the index page yet, actually. (A copying machine might do the trick since the book binding opens flat, but I haven’t tried yet.) Here’s a link to the other pages available for free download/printing. Also for the record, I personally don’t mind taping in extra pages via printer paper since I’m constantly taping in random things on/between my pages anyway. I’ve heard of someone that managed to print on separately-ordered Tomoe River paper, which sounds a little scary to me because it’s so thin, but I suppose it could theoretically be an option if you had an agreeable printer. :)

Which credit cards does the store take? Also abt how much is the shipping and handling charge? Really wanting the cousin cover but not sure how much $ really looking at spending. Tx

A

Here’s all the info on credit cards ♪

As far as shipping, it all depends on where you live and how much is in your shopping cart. If you add all you want in your shopping cart and view your cart, it’ll have a guideline on the bottom of the cart outlining the estimated shipping so you can see before you actually buy. That’s the shipping cost, and in addition, handling is a flat 500 yen (about $5 USD) for the whole order.

Hi! I just bought my first hobonichi for 2015 (eek!) and now I'm planning the ways I'll use each page so I can maximize the techo for as much as I can. Can you give us a few examples on how to use the yearly index? I already have an idea of how I'll use it, but I'd like the know a few suggestions before 2015 starts--maybe there's a better way to use them. Thanks!

A

Yessss, took some digging, but I found an old post that talked about the yearly index: https://www.facebook.com/hobonichi.planner/posts/200548370145025

I actually want to put together a lengthy article covering yearly index examples when I have time, because it’s such an awesome and surprisingly useful section once you get a feel for how you want to make it work for yourself.

Will there be an April start version of the Hobonichi Avec?

A

There are no plans for it at the moment since the Avec is so new.

It currently only comes in a 2-book set (not sold individually), Japanese language, with book one from Jan-June and book two from July-Dec. Every year Hobonichi runs an annual survey to gather input from customers to hear what they’d like, though. :)

does anyone have experience using their planner as a daily wallet? I'm worried the card slots may stretch out and not be secure. I prefer the covers with the open side, but if that's been an issue for anyone else I will probably go for a zippered cover.

A

Some people do use their techo and cover as a wallet, but Hobonichi actually recommends against it—although the pockets are secure, they’re certainly prone to stretching if you always keep several cards in each pocket, and they’re not designed around securing in cards that you definitely wouldn’t want to lose. (Even turning the planner cover upside-down would be enough for a card to totally fall out of a stretched pocket.) With that said, your best bet if wanting to use it as a wallet is to only stick to Zippers-type covers.
