I’m using my Hobonichi for whatever sounds fun at the time. Writing down random thoughts, journaling, scrap booking, etcetera. I don’t really care as long as I’m putting things down on paper.
Day one has some quick blocks for a text adventure and an appearance of Lackey from my old comic. Page two has my “what I should use this book for. I Included a close-up of day two.
It’s that time of year, when Hobonichi is hard at work designing the 2015 planner, and they need your help! Next year, one of the informational pages in the back of the book will feature a list of “Ways to Make Decisions” all over the world. These are essentially ways that adults use to make a random decision when they can’t come up with an answer, so for example, Eenie-Meenie-Miny-Mo may not be one of them. Our list consists of: Rock Paper Scissors and Amidakuji (http://www.tofugu.com/2010/06/16/amidakuji-how-to-make-your-decisions-random-japanese-style/) in Japan, and a coin toss and drawing straws in America. Are there any other methods you can think of that people make random decisions? Methods used outside of Japan and the U.S. are especially welcomed! Leave your ideas in a comment or post them on the original Facebook thread here: https://www.facebook.com/hobonichi.planner/posts/10102653921302332?stream_ref=10

I got my hobonichi techo on Monday and this is my first creative entry! And what an entry. I am a huge fan of Miranda and to get to see her stand-up show in my hometown was nothing short of amazing. Hence she needed a “designated area cause she’s smoking hot!” This notebook is so pretty and it is now my precious AND THE COVER ON COVER HAS A SLIT SO I CAN ACCESS THE BACK POCKET OMG REVELATION. If you don’t hear from me, it’s cause it’s TECHO TIME.
Got my box of extra goodies for my Hobonichi Techo planner. The cover isn’t shown, but here are transparent dot stickers, templates, sticky-note tabs, an elastic band closer, and double-side tape tabs. #hobonichi #hobonichitecho #hobonichiplanner #stickytabs #stickers #stationery #japanesestationery

Hobonichi and Home-made Washi tape: I’ve been fascinated with washi tape lately as there seems to be a lot of different kinds around with numerous creative uses for it. I’ve experimented a little with it and have 3 rolls at the moment that I’ve picked up here and there. My cousin showed me a website of a Japanese washi tape maker, Kurashiki which I like and which inspired me to try something. Why not make my own washi tape? I took a piece of chiyogami I had around the house and cut it into strips; I stuck the strips on double-sided tape, and voila, home-made washi tape!

karifry & I had recently declared ourselves Worf Sisters, and I asked her to sketch something on that page since today was supposed to be her last day in town. She drew Worf and all those crested animals next to him! I’m so impressed! Thank you again, Kari~
Today was also the day some of us tried a bunch of weird food at an amazing dim sum restaurant. I am not a fan of chicken feet or shark fin gow, but I’m glad I tried them.
